Paul Welcome, Johnson County Kansas Appraiser's Office will speak on Information Appraisers Need to Know.  Mr. Welcome is  President of the Appraisal Foundation.

Paul Welcome, Johnson County Appraiser's Office was born in Dayton, Ohio, and attended Bowling Green State University, where he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees. After completing his MBA, he entered the United States Air Force and was an aircraft commander.

He has worked in the valuation field since 1980. His first ten years were in the Abilene and Austin, Texas, areas. In December 1991, Welcome was appointed the Johnson County Appraiser.

Since Welcome's arrival in Johnson County, the department has received national recognition from the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO), the National Association of Counties (NACO) and the City, County, Communication and Marketing Association (3CMA).

In addition to his appraisal duties, Welcome is also active in the community. He is past president of the Leawood South Homes Association and an active member in the Overland Park South Rotary Club. He is also a member of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection.
